History of Corporate Frog

Corporate Frog was an American clothing brand established in Seattle Washington in April 1993. The company focused on streetwear and abstract fashion trends. Its main products included clothing and accessories.

The brand was founded by controversial American-German businessman and fashion designer Sir Wendel Mathid. During the formation of the brand, Mathid was inspired by both Hermann Hesse' Siddhartha novel and Martin Handford's Where's Waldo publications.

The first and only store was opened in a former office space in Seattle in April 1994. It featured a layout that accommodated rollerskating and a selection of clothes arranged around the store's perimeter. The store closed down in 1997.

Corporate Frog influenced many streetwear brands and celebrities during its short reign. In September 2024, the U.S.-based apparel company Sleepy Peach purchased Corporate Frog's remaining inventory from Mathid for an undisclosed eighteen figure sum.

Corporate Frog's Seattle warehouse is vast and unorganized. Sleepy Peach plans to organize the warehouse while releasing authentic Corporate Frog designs as they find them.*
